I’ve been carrying around a bag of tricks in my head
for years now.
They’re things I’ve been taught, things I’ve taught myself and
things I’ve simply stumbled across. Some of them could be called ‘Life Hacks
for Soothing’ others ‘Working Applications’ of those ‘Abstract Concepts’ which
are offered to us as a route to healing and freedom, but mainly seem to bind
and bog us down.
There are a few things which fall into neither of
those categories and simply make me smile deep inside; I’ll call those Cool Quirks.
The reason I have them is that my life is and has
been a journey in search of profound peace and healing and the contents of this
bag of tricks have been my most valuable tools along the way. My journey is not
over yet (I hope), but for a while I’ve felt it would be good for me to share
these tricks and tools. The sharing starts today and this blog is the vehicle
and the medium I have chosen.
I love and have an affinity for simple things and
for simplifying things; so the Hacks and Quirks are very simple and therein
lies their power. Working Applications of Abstract Concepts (WAACs?) are by
their nature a little more complex, but simple enough to use easily.
Generally I’ll keep the blog entries short and I’ll
post three times a week on a Tuesday, a Thursday and a Sunday. Tuesdays the
post will be a Life Hack for Soothing, Thursdays will be a Cool Quirk or Book
or ‘Healing System’ reviews. Sundays I'll be exploring how to Apply one of those pesky Abstract Concepts.
Unless I say otherwise everything on the blog will
be there because it’s something I have used and found to work and I offer it in
that spirit. If you try it, it may just work for you. I’m all about inner resources,
so I have no products for sale, nor do I endorse other people’s products.
That’s about it for this post. If you’d like to know
more about me, check the profile to the right. Please feel
free to leave comments and ask questions and connect through google plus or
circles. You can also check out my Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/rexhealth?ref=hl
I’ll be back on Thursday.
ps: The name of the blog is inspired by the expression, 'Catch a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.'
